I don’t half disagree with you, Vee, really; only thing is, I don’t see how you’re going to pull it off. Canton was something like a blind alley; unless you were native, you couldn't get anywhere except by returning to Hong-Kong and starting afresh. On the whole, I think that I have been disappointed with the life here. As he understood it, folks saw in two or three days all there was to see of Canton.
